guess whos

Be brave, admit you like to play with paper.
You don't have to justify it.
You are okay just the way you are.

ha, no kidding. they also don't whinge and freak out about what they are spending on said hobby. I get so tired of hearing "I have too much." and the suppliers who tell you to get rid of everything just so you can buy more from them.

At Two Peas people get rid of most of their stash and then just buy more to replace it. Does.not.compute.

The brave girls aren't very brave when it comes to lesbians. Cowardly in fact. I don't understand what the issue is.

What if you went and didn't tell them you were gay, who would know. Is it that they put you with your room-mate?

And at 450.00 a day why are you sharing? A junior suite room at the hotel in Mar. is 164, a double queen reg room is 134 and a river view is 144. That leaves a minimum of 286.00 a day,oh wait. That 166.00 comes out of a combined 900.00 for two people -S0 that's 700.00 a day. and I think they use standard rooms and get a block discount for each room.

I would imagine 700.00 (net) for two people, 50.00 a person would be generous for food and supplies- chicken salad, greens and homemade desserts aren't going to cost that much and I bet a lot of their craft supplies are donated by the companies for exposure.

Monica B over at Studio Calico started a thread about leaving comments and likes in the gallery. How many times are people going to complain about that?
Do I really need to leave a comment on someone's work if I think it's shit?

Guess who said...

The scrapbook companies survive by selling you stuff, if you quit buying they aren't making money.

If they weren't able to convince you that the stuff you had wasn't trendy anymore, why would you buy new stuff.

What's the difference between the paper you bought 6 months ago and the ones just released? Hype, hype, and more hype. All are pretty, all are acid-free, heck some even have the same patterns -just different colors.

I hate people that beg for praise and comments. It's so desperate.

Anonymous said...

I hate lesbians.

Anonymous said...

I would be upset if I went to a camp and they put me in the room with a lesbian. It would be like sharing with a man.

Anonymous said...

i know crazy ladies that pray for praise on their lo's.
wtf.

Anonymous said...

That's a trivial thing to pray for, I wonder how God views superficial people who pray for things like that.

Anonymous said...

If I was God I would rust up all their scissors.

Anonymous said...

you would never know if she was a lesbian unless she told you which she likely would not.
you don't know what people are really doing in their private lives.
all of the gay haters would be SHOCKED to know what their childrens sunday school teachers, pastors and pillars of their communities do behind closed doors.
a woman i knew in school is a teacher now and just received the teacher of the year award in her town. she has serious mental issues has stalked people, threatened people and has a very kinky sex life.
and you could be rooming with her at brave girls camp.
think about it.

Anonymous said...

Oh girl I once cropped with some real crazies. One asked us to pray for her to get published. I did not and she is a very published scrap crazy. She hates gays too.

Anonymous said...

Well, the brave girl site gives the reason for not allowing lesbians or friends to come together is the difference in the interaction it will make, BUT May 7-11 is mother and daughters and while we do not encourage rooming together if you are friends the exception is our May 2012 Camp — if you are coming with your mother or daughter or sister, we will encourage you to room together)

wonder if they could be sued for discrimination.

Anonymous said...

I guess with all the sharing they don't want anyone to be uncomfortable with what maybe disclosed around the campfire.

Some of those uptight women might strangle themselves clutching their pearls so tight.

How many people do they take for each brave girl camp? Does anyone know?

Anonymous said...

10:00 that was a very ignorant statement. You have no idea the crazy bitches you may have roomed with before. You assume you haven't already roomed with a lesbian.

Anonymous said...

Bite me, I don't want some woman looking at my woman bits like a man would. Ignorant or not it would make me feel uncomfortable. Just being honest.

Anonymous said...

JBH, you are an ignorant stupid person.

Anonymous said...

is smackorama blog now defunct??

Anonymous said...

Don't worry 12:18. No woman wants to look at your bits. The ugly inside shines through.

____

What makes you think you're so amazing that any lesbian near you would be overcome by lust?

Much like every man you've met likely doesn't want to get into your pants, every lesbian you come across won't want to bed you, either.

So ignorant.

What was the back story to MR? I forgot what made her a 'Brave Girl'. I really don't like her products. Sort of cheap looking paper.

February 11, 2013 at 6:21 PM

she lost her company Chatterbox, ran it in the ground, poor business practice, she claimed the people who worked for her did it, they claimed she was never there to take care of her business. Business went bankrupt, they loss their big house and all stuff, had to move into an old farm house. In the middle of it all there were rumors she was running around with some money man who was going to fund her company, but he didn't.

Also, she ran this big contest 25 albums or something, promised to publish a book of the albums, but never did. I think there was a cash prize. Bunch of women went on 2peas and complained about the book and her sister got on there and told some long story about why it hadn't been published, how Melody's staff had screwed it up, then the staff person got on the thread. There was a lot of drama and name calling. Then I think 2peas deleted the thread causing more drama.

don't forget melody's bff in all of that was christy tomlinson

Anonymous said...

What was Christy's part in all of it.

Anonymous said...

oh god. elsie is hopping on the PL bandwagon. ugh.

Anonymous said...

I'm surprised it took her this long. Must admit I like the pages she posted.

Anonymous said...

lesbians and paper. someone should make a blog.

Anonymous said...

7:52, I saw that and groaned too.

Anonymous said...

I plan to be brave and go into my scrap room and purge today.

I don't get the mentality that something is too out of style for your scrapbooks. When my daughter is looking at her baby book 20 years from now she is not going to care if I used a piece of paper from 2001 in it.

I never throw anything out, I just put the stuff I am not going to use in a Rubbermaid container and let the kids have it. My daughter had to make a decorated box for valentines for school and she thought my old scrapbook stuff were treasures! :)

Guess who said...

Think about it how much paper and embellishment do you own? How long could you go without purchasing anything other than glue and maybe cardstock?

A long time, if you are like most of us. The messageboards and design team must promote that mentality to drive the market.

No your family doesn't know the patterned paper you used is last year's model, but the people who look at it in the gallery do.

Another thing that I think about when this discussion comes up is, what about the pages you did last year, are you embarrassed to show them to anyone now because the paper is out of style?

Anonymous said...

i never post in the galleries anymore. things have changed so much through the years and now it is just a mean girl pissing match imho.
i buy items based on if i like them not because other people use them.
i look at the cha lines when they drop from blogs and sites but tend to stay away from any and all kit clubs and forums.
i also don't buy any magazines anymore. same people same style pubbed over and over.
i have papers and embellishments from years ago as well as newer lines.

To be quite honest. I love the old Chatterbox paper. The patterns were pretty and the paper had great texture. I still use it to this day. Has anyone done the Brave Girls thing? My sister and I are looking into scrapbook retreats.

Anonymous said...

I liked CBX,too. I think that's the sad part of the whole thing. I don't think Brave Girls is a scrapbook retreat from the projects online it looks more like a mixed media art journal type of thing.

I need to stop looking at the CHA releases. I literally have bins of patterned paper but I am still tempted by the new stuff.

Anonymous said...

Nothing from CHA truly inspired me to be 'brave' and buy buy buy....I sort of like the WRMK version of PL but again, you can do it yourself.
